My apologies for the pause in my blogging, but I've been very busy on two related projects during the past two and a half months.
The first project has involved writing a book on healing in Aboriginal communities which I will be telling you more about in future blogs.
The second project has focused on the Aboriginal artist Revel Cooper and has involved a collaboration with my close friend and filmmaker Michael Liu, as well as Revel's niece Cathy Coomer. Mike and Cathy are shown in the above photograph from the Battye Library in Perth, taken during on of our many research undertakings.
Mike is the driving force behind this project which is still in its research and development stage. We have had a great time researching the life of Revel Cooper and have come across plenty of fascinating content, as well as some interesting and enthusiastic people. The project will involve production of a feature length documentary, a book, a multimedia ibook and a variety of other project elements.
You can find out out more about the Revel project at www.revelcooper.com, which describes just a little of what we have found so far.
I'm currently on holiday in the UK visiting my children and later attending the wedding of my daughter Annalie and her fiancee Max. When I return, I'll be busy on the Revel project, so I won't be updating my blog regularly. However, all the content on this website will be available, so please look around and enjoy.
And please encourage other people to use the website and link from it liberally. I really want as many people as possible to access the content on the Sharing Culture website.
My best wishes to you all.
